PANEL DISCUSSION
Artist Harry Shearer is joined by Jim Clancy (Anchor/Correspondent, CNN International), and Michael David Murphy (Program Manager, Atlanta Celebrates Photography), to discuss The Silent Echo Chamber, an exhibition of videos featuring media and political personalities in the awkward moments before "going live."  Artistic Director Stuart Horodner moderates the panel with questions about trust, privacy, celebrity, and technology.

This program takes place at the Woodruff Arts Center and is FREE; seating is limited and must be reserved. Tickets are available through the Woodruff Arts Center Box Office at 404.733.5000, or
online HERE
. This event has been rescheduled from a previous date, and previously reserved tickets will not roll over; you must reserve new tickets.

This panel discussion is a collaboration between the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, and the High Museum of Art. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Massey Charitable Trust, and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

BE ARCHITECTURAL
We'd like to give a shout out to Atlanta architects and friends of the Contemporary Brian Bell and David Yocum of BLDGS. Bell and Yocum became involved with the Contemporary via their architectural intervention Boundary Issues included in last winter's Mergers & Acquisitions exhibition. More recently they examined and imagined the Contemporary structure and site as part of our Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund Toolbox award for facility assessment. Brian and David were just featured in an AJC article and they can also be found in the November issue of Metropolitan Home, as being among the next generation of Design's Rising Stars.

BE SEASONAL
Leaf showers, a nip in the air, the promise of hot cocoa to stave off the chill and drizzle of the outdoors. The signs point to one thing: the holiday season is just around the corner. You've worked hard throughout this challenging year, so why celebrate with the same old dried up mistletoe? The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center is a fresh, singular space for hosting parties that will be talked about long after 2009 is a memory.

Contact Events Coordinator Alana Wolf at awolf@thecontemporary.org, or 404.688.1970 x212, to inquire about end-of-the-year bookings. Make way for some magnificent merrymaking!
