Education Space at Rivington Place
Artist Shiraz Bayjoo has created a new workforce in response to current exhibitions NS Harsha: Nations and Chen Chieh-jen: Factory. Stitching, sewing and conversing, his workers have manufactured a communal flag which now fills the Education Space. 261 workers contributed over 1000 hours of free labour to the project.

Ingrid Pollard's film portrait of her parents includes their migration from Guyana to the UK in the 1950s. She explores how we feel and articulate what is family and home. Followed by a discussion with Professor Andrew Dewdney, Southbank University, and a Q&A.
Performance: Promised Lands - Part 2
Thursday 12 November, 6:30pm
This new installation performance with music and visual elements explores migration and the fascinating and unpredictable journey to the ‘Promised Land’. Music ranges from the first documented African American slave songs to Bob Marley’s Exodus, from Palestinian liberation songs to orchestral work by Wojciech Kilar.
Organised by Iniva and engage An event exploring the notion of the bibliography in gallery and visual arts education. The event is chaired by Veronica Sekules from Sainsbury Research Centre for Visual Arts with speakers Paul Dash from Goldsmith's College and artist Yara El-Sherbini. Discuss your ideas and share experiences through Iniva's Spoken Skins blog.

Event to launch Series 3: Cultural Expression, Creativity and Innovation The series maps the complex inter-relations between globalisation and culture in its many forms in the contemporary world.
Helmut Anheier and Yudhishthir Raj Isar, co-editors of the book, participate in a panel discussion. Co-sponsored by Iniva and LSE Global Governance, the discussion explores the complex relationships between arts practices and the flows of signs, symbols and meanings.

An exhibition of new work exploring alternative forms of self-representation and portraiture by contemporary artist Faisal Abdu’Allah and the Chasing Mirrors Collective, a group of young people from Arabic speaking communities in Brent, Barnet and Ealing. This is a three-year project at the Gallery funded by the John Lyon’s Charity.
