Kenosha Public Museum offers Octagon Quilt, Santa Basket Workshops
Saturday, Nov. 14 Kenosha Public Museum 5500 First Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140 262-653-4140 Nov. 6, 2009 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Peggy Gregorski, Development Coordinator 262-653-4428 KENOSHA – Using basic quilting techniques, people can learn to create an Octagon Table Topper Quilt during a workshop from 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday, November 14 at the Kenosha Public Museum. Carolyn Wheeler teaches students to assemble this quick and easy table topper using a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. A supply list will be provided at registration. Cost of the class is $25 or $20 for Friends of the Museums. A supply fee of $15 is paid to the instructor. A sample of the piece is on display at the museum gift shop. Advance registration is required. Jackie's Santa Basket is the project for a workshop from 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Kenosha Public Museum. Sandy Bulgrin will teach people how to weave a basket featuring a Santa face, including natural reed for the beard, a red hat and button eyes. A sample is on display at the museum gift shop. Cost is $25 or $20 for Friends of the Museums. A supply fee of $16 is paid to the instructor.
