Tim Rollins and K.O.S.: A History,
followed by coffee and conversation with ICA lecturer Susan Fang and David Grazian, a
professor of sociology at the University of Pennsylvania.
David Grazian is Associate Professor and Undergraduate Chair of Sociology at the
University of Pennsylvania. Prof. Grazian received his BA from Rutgers University in 1994,
and his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2000. He teaches courses on popular culture,
mass media and the arts; cities and urban sociology; social interaction and public
behavior; and ethnographic methods. In his research he employs a variety of ethnographic and
other qualitative methods to study the production and consumption of commercial
entertainment in the urban milieu.
Susan Fang is an MFA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania. She is interested in
constructions of identity and the uncanny. She holds a BFA from the University of Georgia.
