From April 2 to 8, 2010 Galleri Hagman presented "Another Vision : Federico Winqvist Estrada". The exhibition featured paintings, sculptures and objects created by Mexican-Swedish artist Federico Winqvist Estrada. Estrada has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com since 2009. "I was born in Mexico City in 1957 and now living in Sweden since 1976.
My work is a combination of both Latinamerican and European traditions," comments Estrada.
Federico Winqvist Estrada continues, "The treatment of colour is strong and colorful as the ancient Mexican cultures, the German Expressionist movement of Blauer Reiter and the wild French fauvism. While the form language finds itīs inheritance in the Mexican mural painters such as Tamayo and the French school of Matisse."
