"Call for Artists : Oncology on Canvas(SM) - Expressions of a Cancer Journey Art Competition and Exhibition"
2010-04-12 until 2010-06-30
Lilly Oncology on Canvas
New york, NY, USA United States of America

The Oncology on CanvasSM: Expressions of a Cancer Journey Art Competition and Exhibition was developed by Lilly in 2004 as a way to honor those who are impacted by cancer — as a patient, caregiver, friend or family member. The 2010 competition kicked off on November 1, 2009, and registration forms will be accepted as late as June 10, 2010. Completed art entries and Submission Forms should be postmarked by June 30, 2010.

Finding Art that Best Portrays an Inspiring Cancer Journey

The first day of a cancer diagnosis begins one of life's most profound journeys. The Lilly Oncology on Canvas Art Competition and Exhibition provides everyone affected by cancer—those who have been diagnosed with cancer, their healthcare providers, family members, friends and caregivers—the opportunity to express the life-affirming changes that give that journey meaning and to share their cancer journey through art.

Themes and Inspirations

Themes and inspirations for your choice of subject are everywhere: a friend, sunlight or your loyal, loving pet. Picasso once said, "I do not seek but I find." This is your opportunity to share your experience as an inspiration to others on a similar journey.
