The mission of Greenwich House Pottery is to provide the highest quality ceramic education to people of all ages,
and to nurture emerging and established artists working in clay through residencies and exhibitions.

Made in Clay Continues Through April 29th
A huge thank you to all of our participating artists, volunteers and supporters for two wonderful openings last week! Made in Clay's Invitational Exhibition continues in the Jane Hartsook Gallery through April 29th.

Save the date: on May 20th, please join us at 6pm the opening of our annual Members' Exhibition, and a special Centennial project curated by Michele Quan and Susannah Tisue: "You Need to Know Your History" which will transform our storefront window into a shop window full of curios from GHP's past as interpreted by its present day students, residents and faculty.

Raise your glass for GHP's 100th anniversary at New York's premiere decorative arts fair, SOFA-NY! Join writer and editor Janet Koplos, GHP Faculty member Kathy Erteman and GHP Director Sarah Archer for wine and hors d'oeuvres. Guests will also receive a complimentary pass to SOFA. Panel Discussion at MAD: Wednesday, April 7th

"Then, Now and Next: Studio Pottery in the Early 21st Century" will examine the role that pottery plays in American culture on the occasion of Greenwich House Pottery's 100th anniversary. What might we expect of our second century in light of where we've been? Three scholars will present their views: Glenn Adamson (Victoria and Albert Museum), Howard Risatti (emeritus, Virginia Commonwealth University) and Jennifer Sorkin (Bard College).
