Like the book itself, the exhibition will join together and celebrate the work of groundbreaking artists from twenty-nine countries around the world, who are paving the way in innovation and technique. This show will run from April 17 through June 5, 2010 at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art in Las Vegas. Included in the exhibition and publication International Contemporary Masters are absolutearts.com Premiere Portfolio Artists Debbi Chan and Maria Eugenia Akel, both members since 2009.
Debbie Chan comments, When I do a picture with crickets in cages, there is always one trying to escape or a fellow creature trying to free his companion from sure fate. I am always hopeful that my art will make people search inside themselves. I know I have to do soul searching before I can make the statement to give to others thru my art.
Chan captures images of nature in paintings, ink drawings, carvings and photography all with an eastern feel.

Maria Eugenia Akel works are a form of Pictography, which are made from mixing painting of her own and photographs taken or found by the artist.

The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art, founded in 2003, is a privately funded, non-profit organization. It moved to its current location in the Neonopolis in 2008 and presently features over 20,000 square feet of exhibit area, with a main gallery, a special exhibitions gallery, and a small works gallery. The SNMFA Emporium provides exhibit space for local, regional and International artists to display their current work. In addition a expansion into a 10,000 sq. ft. adjacent space is planned which will include a large exhibition gallery dedicated to large works including installation art and free-standing sculpture.
The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art (SNMFA) deems itself a showcase museum dedicated to raising awareness for a range of fine art, providing an opportunity to appreciate a variety of art for the local community and visitors to Las Vegas.
