Mr. Denker joins the increasing trend/movement of artists creating with raw data.
Trifecta Gallery begins to delve into this movement and loves what they are finding.
Denker is not a mathematician, scientist or a physicist but his drawings might make one think he is. The patience and skill it must take to draw these BY HAND is far more typical of a focused artist. ”I had to take a Lupe to the drawings because I just couldn't believe they were hand drawn. I am such a fan of tedious quality. Most of our artists have this overlying element". The gallery's owner, Marty Walsh says.
Philip Denker placed 3rd in the Contemporary Arts Center's Annual Juried National Show this April still currently on exhibition. Philip will give a brief talk about his work this same night and will be in Trifecta Gallery the remainder of the evening to answer the many questions generated from the drawings.
Trifecta Gallery is open from 12 to 10 pm the following day for First Friday.
