get two weeks of quality art camps for the price of
one? Each camp is five days in length from Monday
through Friday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm daily. Early
care (8:00 to 10:00 am) and late care (3:00 to 5:30
pm) are available at an additional cost.

Camp I: June 7 -11 (ages 5 to 8) CLOSED
Comedy and Action - Making Stop Motion Animation Movies
Camp II: June 14 - 18 (ages 5 to 8)
Mystery and Drama - Making Stop Motion Animation Movies: Under the direction of instructor Carrie Schneider, campers will have fun dramatizing their original mystery-based stories by making stop motion animation movies.
Camp III: June 21 - 25 (ages 5 to 8)
Have a Poppin' Good Time - Creating Pop Art: Making a piece of pop art is truly fun for children because pop art is about looking at everyday objects in a new way. Instructor Angela Cook will teach campers how to create fantastic, original pop art.
Camp IV: June 28 - July 2 (ages 9 to 11)
Drawing Dreamland - Large Scale Drawing: Campers will spend the week exploring large scale drawing with a special focus on creating illusion. Instructor Emily Sloan will teach campers about drawing out-of-proportion, the art of illusion, and other cool techniques.
Camp V: July 5 - 9 (ages 5 to 8)
Take A Trip With Mona - Art Across the World: Instructor Kimberley Taylor will take campers on a virtual tour around the world to study and create different styles of art. Asia, Africa, Europe, and the American Southwest are on the itinerary for this wonderful artistic adventure.
Camp VI: July 12 - 16 (ages 5 to 8)
Strike A Pose - Movement in Art: Instructor Angela Cook will show campers how movement is captured in paintings, photographs, and sketches. Campers will create drawings and paintings of their own action poses.
Camp VII: July 19 - July 23 (ages 5 to 8)
All Aboard For Pattern Play - Patterns in Art throughout the World: Instructor Kimberley Taylor will take campers on a virtual trip to other countries to learn how lines, shapes, and colors come together to make beautiful patterns. Campers may find themselves making an aboriginal dot painting, designing a pattern for an African kente cloth, or creating designs reminiscent of the Russian artist Kandinsky.
Camp VIII: July 26 - July 30 (ages 9 to 11)
Houston, We Have A Wonderland! - Creating a Site-Specific Work of Art: Under the direction of instructor Emily Sloan, campers will create a site specific "wonder-inspired" piece of art. The piece will be created indoors during the camp. On the last day of camp, it will be installed in Art League Houston's outdoor sculpture garden, where it will remain on display for a month.

Art League Houston is one of Houston's longest operating non-profit vis ual arts organizations and was the first alternative art space in Texas.
