MITHRA, SOL INVICTUS opened on Sunday 30th May 2010 with introduction by Enzo Battarra in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Italy. It will be possible to visit the exhibition until the 30th June 2010 every day but on Monday from 9 am to 7pm.
Archeologists, scholars, artists face the ancient religion of the god Mithra, so spread and deeply rooted in the ancient Roman empire, that the Christians had to include its rites in their own religion. One of the most finely decorated sanctuaries of Mithra was found in Santa Maria Capua Vetere Italy.
