About Departures V
Departures is a juried exhibition that presents photography by graduating students of the Daytona State College and University of Central Florida photography programs. This is the fifth year that the Southeast Museum of Photography has had the honor of showcasing the work of these students.

The success of so many Daytona State College and University of Central Florida graduates attests to their skill, drive and resourcefulness, as well as the way that their interest in the medium was nurtured, informed and developed. In recent years, the strength of the Daytona State College photography program has been extended and expanded with a strategic partnership that offers a four-year bachelor's degree program through the University of Central Florida.

More than twenty graduates are showcased here in an exciting and diverse exhibition.
Departures Juror: Nick Vedros
Nick Vedros (www.vedros.com) was the Juror for the 2010 DEPARTURES exhibition.
Nick Vedros has won top honors from the ADDY Awards, Effie Awards, Archive International, Communication Arts, the Top 200 Advertising Photographers, and the Canon Explorers of Light program. His award-winning photography has brought him advertising photography from top clients like Apple, Bayer, Capital One, Coca-Cola, DuPont, IBM, Kodak, Microsoft, Sony, and Sprint.
The Southeast Museum of Photography acknowledges the support and assistance of the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies in the organization of this exhibition.
