"SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT - THE CHAIRS BY MARIBEL"
2010-07-20 until 2010-10-30
Hotel del Arte, CLASA - Barcelona Airport
Barcelona, ,

Maribel Ruiz Figueras is holding an exhibition at the Centre for Air Cargo of Barcelona Airport, managed by CLASA (Airports Logistics Centers, SA), where one will be able to admire a selection of chairs created by the artist. Maribel Ruiz is a complete and versatile artist. In her work, we appreciate a strong sense of abstract expressionism, supported by deep use of color and matter/shape, with a great sense of plastic balance and with mastery of colour
interaction techniques. The best representation of her is found in her "chairs", old and rickety objects that are given new life and raised to the category of art, to offer that style so characteristic of her, based on the
abstract complexity and inspirational, gestural and spontaneous creation which results in works that impact the viewer by its splendor, colour and sensitivity in the transmission of sensations. Hotel del Arte promotes their artists' works with a Gallery Portfolio at absolutearts.com.

In her work, therefore, there ‘s a flow of raw feelings and moods that the
artist reflects masterfully through a resolute line, not at all lacking in
determination and security.
CLASA assists in the protection of the environment with the foundation
Trinijove, which is responsible for the packaging collection and recycling.
This way, we get a double benefit, social and environmental, since this entity
is working on getting the job placement of people with significant degree of
risk of exclusion.
This new sample is part of the exhibition series "Social, Cultural and
Environmental Commitment " and is sponsored by CLASA, Hotel Estela Barcelona,
Arpal (Association for the recycling of aluminum products), Fundació Trinijove
and Obra Social from Fundació La Caixa. Other collaborators are Ecoembes,
Ecovidrio, Aena, Aeropuerto de Barcelona and the Catalan Agency of Waste from
the Generalitat de Catalunya.
This unique exhibition will be opened on July 20th 2010 and will remain open
until the end of October 2010.
