October 9h, Saturday 2pm - 8pm Raffael A. Iglesias has been living and working in Toronto for the past 14 years and completed an MFA at York University in 2009. His mixed media paintings have been exhibited in solo and group shows between Toronto, Mexico City and Chile. [UTF-8?]Iglesias’ art has received critical acclaim in publications such as LOLA and Fuse Magazines and in a short film aired on BRAVO! Video Fact. His work - once described by R.M. Vaughan as [UTF-8?]“gorgeous parades of colour and masterful feats of culture [UTF-8?]jamming” - has been shown numerous times at ARCO International Art Fair in Canada and Spain. In 2008, Iglesias held his show APOkALIPTICIOUS at Peak Gallery, and participated in Blitzkrieg Bop, at Wilfred Laurier [UTF-8?]University’s Robert Langden Gallery.
