A Celebration of Kodachrome
18
January - 10 February 2011
OPEN MONDAY - FRIDAY 10AM-6PM
Private View -
Wednesday
19 January 2011, 6:30 - 8:30pm
Kodachrome,
the slide-film that inspired songs, was discontinued by Kodak last year
at
74 years of age. Upon hearing Kodak’s announcement that
they
will no longer be renewing stocks of Kodachrome, the AOP Gallery
invites
AOP Members and members of the public to submit a selection of their
most
treasured Kodachrome images and slides to feature in an
exhibition.
The Call for Submissions are open to all AOP members and members
of
the public. The inclusion into the exhibition is subject to
editorial
control. Beyond this, there are no boundaries on the themes and content
of
the work. Entry forms can be downloaded from the AOP Gallery
website
- http://gallery.the-aop.org
The deadline for entries is Friday 12 November 2010. Entrants
will
be informed of the final selection by Friday 19 November, and
further
information about the exhibition and launch event will be updated on
the
AOP website – www.the-aop.org
We are looking forward to receiving entries and selecting
images
for what promises to be an eclectic and seminal exhibition featuring
the
work of top photographers and lovers of film.
