project is a
photographic
essay on a flea market in Cape Town.
For the last decade, South
African photographer, Dave Southwood has been observing and participating in the
Milnerton flea market. His body of images and the forthcoming publication, with
commissioned essays by three highly respected voices within South African
critical discourse, will be presented for the first time in November 2010 at the

This photographic project
comprises of over one hundred images and is presented in a publication, which
includes commissioned texts by Ivan Vladislavic, Ivor Powell, Michael Godby and
the
photographer himself. The layout of the publication and exhibition aim to
reflect the chaotic complexity of personalities, conversations and objects which
comprise this quirky institution.
