Máximo
González
Former
Hyde Park Art Center artist is residence, Máximo González will
showcase the work he created while in residence here at the Art Center this past
summer.
González's newest body of work, Material Poems, began as a
series of poems and writings generated to inspire the artist while he was in
residence. The resulting works address various topics rooted in the artist's
childhood memories of his family (circa 1970) while incorporating larger themes
of international and political struggle. González's exhibition begins
this Sunday in the Cleve Carney
Gallery.
