On Thursday, September 17, the WPBA’s next tour stop, The Colorado Classic, will be kicking off in Ignacio, Colorado at the Sky Ute Casino.  This will be the second year that the tour will be holding one of their stops at this venue, and once again PoolDawg.com will be sponsoring the free live streaming of this event.  You can access the live stream by visiting AZbilliards.com or WPBA.com tomorrow at 1pm EST.

Many of the tour’s players will be in prime condition for this event, having just finished the Women’s Pro 9-ball event at the first-ever Galveston World Classic.  Texans Vivian Villarreal, Kim White, and Cristina De La Garza were all present, along with names like Monica Webb, Allison Fisher, Yu-Ram Cha, Megan Smith, Line Kjorsvik, and Iris Ranola, among many others.

Last night, the tournament completed with the final match between Allison Fisher (currently ranked #4 on the tour) and young Korean phenom, Yu-Ram Cha.  Yu-Ram had lost to Allison in the 2nd round of the event, then returned to face her again after winning seven matches.  Yu-Ram would continue dominate in both matches of the finals, winning 9-5, and 7-1.

Yu-Ram will definitely be on top of her game at the Colorado Classic, and look to place high.  Other top favorites in this event will be US Open Champion Ga-Young Kim, along with, Austrian Jasmin Ouschan, who won the Great Lakes Classic in

Along with Yu-Ram, another up-and-coming Korean player, Bora Jeong will be a strong force at the Colorado Classic.  Bora qualified for this event at the J. Pechauer Northeast Women’s Tour stop at Hot Shots Billiards in Deptford, NJ on August 22.  After a 2nd round loss to Veronique Menard (Player of the Year on the Canadian Women’s Pool Tour).  Bora went through the one-loss side to beat Pamela Cimarelli in the finals. Pamela is also one of the toughest players in the Northeast, and currently ranked #34 on the tour.
