Old Lyme chosen as Preserve America Community

Congratulations Old Lyme! Preserve America is a federal initiative that recognizes and designates communities that protect and celebrate their heritage, use their historic assets for economic development and community revitalization, and encourage people to experience and appreciate local historic resources through education and heritage tourism programs. The program identified the Florence Griswold Museum, the Historic District and the annual Midsummer Festival as reasons Old Lyme deserved the designation. Read more...

Wee Faerie Village Events are Filling Fast!

From Twinkling Twilight Tours and breakfasts and teas to free art projects and a Halloween costume parade and contest - don't miss a minute of the magic! For three weeks this fall, October 10 through November 1, the Museum’s 11 acres become the site for an enchanted village of faerie houses. This self-guided walking tour features 25 creative dwellings built by area artists and designers.
