A Perfect "Two Show Night"--And 20+ New Events Just Announced
Hello friends—
Tonight will be one of those great nights that really embodies what Town Hall does best—downstairs, British-American Seattleite Lesley Hazleton (Mary, Jezebel) talks about her latest work of investigative history, After The Prophet: The Epic Story of the Shia-Sunnit Split in Islam. Publishers Weekly calls it “a profound story, passionately told”; Lesley is a deft storyteller, and a world class provocateur. Meanwhile, upstairs we’ll host an intimate performance by violinist Jun Iwasaki and pianist Grace Fong. The concert—featuring Mozart, Saint Saens and Schonberg—is built around Iwasaki and Fong’s truly extraordinary chemistry. If you’re a fan of chamber music, or merely ‘music-curious’, we promise this show is a sleeper hit of our season.

Next up, two family concerts with Caspar Babypants (this Saturday, free for kids and just $5 for adults) and next Tuesday’s cool reenactment of the Lincoln/Douglas Debates in our Great Hall. At least, 45 minutes of them.

Even if you’ve looked recently, take a spin through the calendar for over 20 just-added events between now and December. As the weather starts to turn, we promise to give you plenty of reasons to feel OK about coming inside…

Wier Harman
Executive Director
