Book Launch
Customs Ignored: Lithuanian and Australian Photography
6pm Thursday 24 September
Free Admission
On Thursday 24 September the ACP will be hosting the launch of Customs
Ignored: Lithuanian and Australian Photography, a book from Lithuanian
photographer, curator and publisher Mindaugas Kavaliauskas. The book showcases
the work of nine Australian and nine Lithuanian photographers who seek to
document, discuss, and escape the alienation of afluent Western society.
Mindaugas is Director of the Kaunas Photo festival, where he has exhibited the
work of a number of Australian Artists in the recent past. For all who attend,
this will be a great chance to meet Mindaugas and find out about possible
opportunities for Australian photographers in Europe. The launch will start
from 6pm in the ACP lounge and we welcome everyone to join us for a glass of
champagne to celebrate.
