It is with great honor we announce that Georgia Public Television's State of the Arts segment about Art From the Heart won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement:Television News and Program Specialty Excellence.
The segment aired in January 2008 and follows three of the Atlanta Fine Arts League's founders and artists, Lisa Gleim, Leah Hopkins Henry and Geri Zaki and the families of the soldiers they painted, Army Specialist Jamaal Addison, Army Specialist Justin W. Johnson and 1st Lieutenant Tyler Hall Brown. This project and the GPB segment honors Georgia's Fallen Heroes and their families.
