  I hope this message finds you well.  Lehmann Maupin has just 
released the latest installment of the LM Artist Video Series 
featuring Erwin Wurm. We invite you to take a look at these videos, 
which provide viewers with an artist’s perspective as well as 
footage from the opening.


            In Erwin Wurm’s video you will see the artist’s latest 
body of work, which includes performances, photography, video, 
installations, and large freestanding sculptures. You will hear the 
artist explain how his new series, “gulp”, addresses the theme of 
the social envelope. Wurm wittily takes on complex subjects such as 
psychology, philosophy, and sociology through an unexpected use of 
clothing, food, furniture, cars, and houses. Additionally the video 
features commentary from artist Elfie Semotan, a leader in Austria’s 
avant-garde, who notes the exhibition demonstrates Erwin Wurm is 
“pushing very consciously into new territories.”  The last day to 
see “gulp” is this Saturday, December 4th. We hope you get the
