KENOSHA
– RG Radio Productions brings Louisa May Alcotts's Classic novel
Little Women to life during a
free, public show at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 in Freedom Hall at the
Civil War Museum. Written in 1868 and loosely based on Alcott's own
childhood in Concord, Mass., Little Women is
set in New England during the Civil War. It follows the story of the
four March sisters through difficult times and also highlights their
close family bonds.
Little
Women originally aired on Lux Radio Theatre in 1944, a long-running
anthology show. RG Productions, based in Kenosha, is known for its
accurate and costumed re-enactments of original old time radio. The
show is directed and produced by Nita Hunter.
Free
tickets to the show will be distributed beginning at 9 a.m. Dec. 11.
Doors to Freedom Hall open at 12:30 p.m. Seating is unreserved.
