Only a few days left to apply for the Firth edition of the International Art Prize Arte Laguna, which promotes and enhances the contemporary artists. Remaning consistent to the original purposes of its creators, Laura Gallon and Beatrice Susa, Arte Laguna Prize continues to discover new talents within the aim of the promotion the artists creativity and to develop their carreers.
The Prize, organized by the Cultural Association MoCA and the Arte Laguna Office, under the aegis of, among others, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Veneto Region, European Institute of Design, also this year highlights the peculiar ability to innovate and renew itself which enabled him in a few years to achieve great success in 2009, with paintings, sculpture, photography from 90 countries worldwide, with over 5,000 visitors to the exhibition of the 180 finalists in the Arsenale of Venice.
The unique venue in Venice continues to be a constant for the Prize Arte Laguna, in fact from 12th to 22nd March 2011 at the Nappe of Arsenale you can visit, entrance free, the collective exhibition of the finalist artists selected from 11 international jurors, composed by critics and curators, museum and art schools directors. The collective exhibition at the Arsenale is only the first one of a series of events that, throughout 2011 and 2012, are held in Italy and abroad (Prague, Berlin, New York, Shanghai, etc..), involving artists in exhibitions and projects organized by galleries institutions partner of the Prize.
The total prizes money this year exceeds 100.000 euro: in addition to 5 institutional prizes, 5.000 euro each, it will be awarded 4 residences for artists (2 in Venice, one in Faenza, one in Slovenia), and the Business for Art prize offered by Reil company consisting of residency in Brazil and it allows for the selected artists a direct entry in the art market with its circuit, of art galleries and international festivals.
Moreover, the Prize Arte Laguna offers visibility and promotion also through the publication of bilingual catalogue, the press award given by press professionals and the holding of meetings, discussions and training during the collective exhibition.
