The Trav-a-Log, December 4, 2010
Caesar's Greenings, Lemmys and Jugglemen!
We're closing out the year with a few exciting new gifties under the tree -- notably a new book and a new variety show (hopefully a pilot for a regular series), and the dope on my latest column, and more. In the spirit of this festive season, I hope you will touch the sleeve of my robe and join me for this tour of December-yet-to-come. If you don't, ghosts will come to your house at the stroke of midnight to tell you all about my new shows, and none of us wants THAT, Mr. Scrooge!
Item: my big variety show this month is JACK THE RIPPER'S HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR.
Tuesday, December 14 at 10:00pm at Bowery Poetry Club
Join me as “Saucy Jack” in this darkly humorous Bowery music hall holiday extravaganza featuring:
* THE BLEEDIN' TARTS (Becky Byers, Shiloh Klein, Erin Posanti, Stephanie Willing, Candace Yoshioka)
* piano man ALBERT GARZON (of Ixion Burlesque)
...
* country band THE TALL PINES
* contortionist AMY HARLIB
* sideshow/burlesque performer FOXXX TROT
* chanteuse LORINNE LAMPERT
* and SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS a special holiday radio play featuring our company of dulcet-toned comic thespians, including Mr. S.D., Ms. Lampert, JUSTIN HOLCOMB, JAMES ISAAC, DOUGLAS MACKRELL, and MICHAEL CRISCUOLO
