FLOOD TIDE: REMIXED
Thursday, Dec. 16 & Friday, Dec. 17 > 7 PM
MCASD La Jolla
Join MCASD for an exclusive screening of remixed footage from the film Flood Tide, in advance of the feature film’s release. Flood Tide tells the story of four musicians who craft extraordinary boats out of whatever junk they can find and set out for open water.
Blurring the line between fact and fiction, Flood Tide was shot on the Hudson River during the real-life art-raft project The Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea, a concept dreamed up by the artist Swoon and built by an eclectic group of artists and performers. In the summer of 2008, the crew built and floated seven large boat-sculptures down the Hudson River.
Screening only at a small handful of locations in its remixed form, this special event will include a musical score composed and performed live on stage by the band and film cast members Dark, Dark, Dark.
Come early and enjoy a drink before the film. Our pop-up concessions bar will be set up outside the Box Office at 6 PM.
