About the Artists
7 Genevieve Chua (b.1984, Singapore)
Chua’s research interests are in the fear of the unknown and her
process involves the appropriation and reinvention of Southeast Asian horror
narratives. These new stories are then
realised as a website, installation, drawing,
or most recently photography.
She has been selected to participate in the Singapore Biennale 2011
and the BMW Young Artist Series at the Singapore Tyler Print Institute
(2010). Recent solo exhibitions
include Raised as a Pack of

and Foxes an installation commissioned by the National
Museum of Singapore as part of the Singapore

Lee received his Master and Bachelor of Communication Studies from
Nanyang Technological University in 2001 and 1997 respectively. He is an artist
and curator based in Singapore. His research addresses representations of the
built environment, especially the contexts and implications of its lost
elements. His observations are mainly transformed into objects, diagrams,
situations, curations or essays.
He has participated in The 3rd Guangzhou Triennial 2008 (Independent
Projects section; Guangdong Museum of Art), The 2005 World Exposition
(Singapore Pavilion; Nagoya) and International Film & Video Association
