Nate Frizzell :: Eric Fortune :: Extended Nate Frizzell :: 'I Should Know Who I Am By Now' Exhibition extended: Now through December 15th, 2010 LeBasse Projects is excited to announce that due to the popularity of artist Nate Frizzell's second solo exhibition we have extended the show through December 15th. While all the work has found a home in private collections, it will remain on display along with Eric Fortune's exhibit in the Project Room. The well attended opening has been receiving tremendous praise including coverage on Juxtapoz, Hi Fructose, ,DailyduJour, and Arrested Motion. Since his first solo show at LeBasse Projects, Nate Frizzell has been experimenting with different techniques and media, making a switch from acrylics to oils. The switch amplifies Frizzell's already beautifully rendered figures and animals resulting in gorgeous coloring, clarity, and depth. His themes of self-discovery and examination of the human condition return in the winteresque environment of his solo exhibition 'I Should Know Who I Am By Now.' SugiPOP! at the Portsmouth Museum of Art LeBasse Projects also just opened a curatorial project 'SugiPOP!: The Influence of Anime and Manga on Contemporary Art,' at the Portsmouth Museum of Art. The exhibition opened on October 13th and featured the work ofapproximately 30 artists tracing the originations of manga, the rise of JapaneseContemporary Art and shows how the art forms have influenced artists around the world. The exhibitalso features Japanese Contemporary artists Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara,Yoshitaka Amano, Mr., Ai Yamaguchi, Junko Mizuno and Hisashi Tenmyouya. Coming in January :: Vernissage and Korean Contemporary LeBasse Projects will be presenting two new exhibitions in January. We will open the year with some preview work from artist we will be exhibiting in 2011.
