On Friday from 6-8 p.m., join in a free critical art discourse with co-facilitators Dawoud Bey and Carol Ehlers, independent curator and adjunct professor at Columbia College at Open Crit. Each Open Crit allows developing artists to have their work critique by established curators, artists and critics. This session's artists are Angela Lopez, Maggie Meiners and Ahmad Ozsever. Each will get approximately 40 minutes of discussion and honest feedback.

After Open Crit, stick around for Cocktails and Clay, which runs from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Get inspired during a 45-minute clay session, then spend your evening sipping on drink specials, grooving to the DJ and taking in some incredible art in our galleries. Bring your friends ... or your crush. And remember, donations are suggested.

Second Sunday, School and Studio Open House and Holiday Art Sale this Sunday, December 12

Our monthly Second Sunday event brings smiles to the faces of children and parents. Like usual, we'll be offering art workshops from 1-4 p.m. in one of our studios.

But this Sunday is also extraordinary, because it's time for the School and Studio Open House and the Holiday Art Sale. Come celebrate the wonder of creative expression with the fall quarter students, who will be displaying and selling their work. You can also get a jump on this year's holiday shopping. We'll have mugs, paintings, photographs and other arty gifts for sale, all created by students here in our Studios. The Open House and Art Sale run from 2-5 p.m.
