HAPPY HOLIDAYS
FROM EVERYONE AT
THE NEW ENGLAND QUILT MUSEUM!
Saturday, December 18th
WINE, REFRESHMENTS & SHOPPING

Enjoy a more civilized holiday shopping experience this Saturday, December 18th, as the Museum Shop offers refreshments while you browse.

The Museum Shop has gift and stocking stuffer ideas for every budget--and not just for quilters. See jewelry, accessories, clothing, household items, toys and books for young and old, as well as hand-made quilts, both antique and contemporary. For the children on your list, we also have an extensive collection of sewing and doll-making kits.

The shop is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Parking is FREE on Saturdays in the lot directly behind the Museum.

DONATIONS HELP THE MUSEUM
(& YOUR TAX RETURN!)

Please remember our Annual Appeal when making your year-end donations, if you haven't done so already.

The Annual Appeal is the largest single source of funding for the Museum. Your tax-deductible gift supports exhibitions and collections, educational programming, community services and our day-to-to operations. Each dollar donated directly enhances the experience of our visitors. We thank you for your generous outpouring of support that allowed us to meet our Cultural Facilities Matching Grant goal earlier this year. Now we seek your help in meeting our general operating costs in the new year.

We thank you for your continued commitment to NEQM.

~ Connie Barlow, Executive Director
Rosemary Noon, Chair, Board of Directors

LIBRARY LOANS

The staff of the Museum Library encourage Members to drop by before New Year's Eve to pick up some winter reading for those cold January days when the Museum is closed (January 1-19).

Whether you've been wanting to study a new technique, read about some aspect of quilt history or just snuggle up with a quilt-themed mystery novel, we've probably got what you're looking for. You might even get a jump on our Thursday Book Group Reading List for 2011.

Books will be due for return when the Museum re-opens on January 20th.

THURSDAYS AT THE MUSEUM

THIRD THURSDAYS:
BOOK GROUP 12:30-1:30 PM

December 16th: The Devil's Cloth, A History of Stripes by Michel Pastoreau.

Our reading list for 2011 is now available. Visit the Museum website for the full list.

For 2011, we feature both a fiction and non-fiction selection each month. Many relate to the Civil War, in recognition of the 150th Anniversary of the outbreak of that conflict. We offer suggestions for more in-depth reading under the heading "Read More About It."

Bring your lunch and join museum staff, volunteers, members and visitors for a great discussion.

Thursday, January 20, 2011:
A Single Thread, Marie Bostwick, www.mariebostwick.com
Cotton, Stephen Yafa, www.stephenyafa.com
