Event: Origami Ornament-Making for Kids and Adults
Exhibition: Nate Moore: SKYWARD. Emily Amy Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new works by Little Rock, Arkansas-based artist, Nate Moore. The exhibition will include Moore's characteristic origami airplanes presented in fabricated grid patterns, new media and large-scale installations.

Terri Dilling- New Work Exhibition Dates: December 3, 2010 - January 8, 2011. Atlanta artist, Terri Dilling explores the beauty and complexity of the natural world in her new body of work. Her work is inspired by scientific investigations into the patterns and structures of nature. Additional attributes include a mix of micro and macro viewpoints, structured order and random marks that occur during her creative process.
Mark Leibert- Interstices Exhibition Dates: December 3, 2010 - January 8, 2011. Atlanta artist, Mark Leibert explores the fringe of nature and the built environment through color, abstraction, representation, and metaphor. Interstices plays against the backdrop of the news and the visible and invisible consequences of unfettered progress.

Artist Brian Dettmer will give an informal talk on his work in the exhibition New Worlds to Conquer. Sculpting traditional hard-cover books into artworks of intricate beauty, their richness and depth is uncovered and re-contextualized. The exhibition harkens back to a time when exploration of new lands fueled the fire of imagination and intrigue.

We open Jan 7 with Dana Schutz: Drawings & Prints, a New York-based painter known for combining fantastic narratives, exuberant handling of materials, and pictorial inventiveness; and Embodying, a group show with Joe Biel, James Gobel, Stephen Schofield, Allison Smith, and Richard T. Walker, whose works investigate physical and psychological aspects of the human body, drawing inspiration from classic literature, nature, and urban life. Embodying is supported through Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue. Opening reception for Dana Schutz: Drawings & Prints and Embodying, Fri, Jan 7, 8-10 pm.

TWIN KITTENS presents ICONIDOKU- a series of new works by Susan Krause. ICONIDOKU is the result of the artist’s impetus to navigate, process, document, and convey the contemporary issues that are the grit of every day life. As a result, Krause has re-contextualized these concerns by way of the popular game, Sudoku, which the artist herself has “reinvented” for a gallery setting. The Westside Art Walk is a presentation of the Westside Arts District and occurs on the third Saturday of every month from 12 to 5pm, unless otherwise noted. This art-centric event is intended to encourage public interaction and education of visual art in the emerging art district in Atlanta’s Westside neighborhood.
