CPW is currently seeking collaborators!

Collaborative partnerships have made 2010 a remarkable year at CPW. The spirit and commitment that emerges when we band together to achieve a mutual goal is insurmountable. The results are always far beyond anything we could have imagined.

Every year CPW collaborates with artists working in photography of all levels - providing that initial spark to see the world anew through the camera's lens for some; while helping refine the long term projects and artistic visions of others. As a collaborative partner of curators, writers, and organizations, CPW continuously contributes to ensuring new ideas, bold concepts, and engaging offerings reach our audiences - locally, regionally, nationally, both in person and virtually.

To name just a few of the amazing things that have taken place this year at CPW under collaboration's inspiring umbrella;

• Landscape Forever - The year began with an incredible partnership that not only included the Woodstock Land Conservancy and ten photographers who were invited to visit lands which the WLC has preserved and maintained, but also the entire sixth grade class of Woodstock Elementary School!
   
• Slideluck Potshow Woodstock - This summer CPW partnered with Slideluck Potshow Global as CPW hosted its first combination potluck dinner/slideshow event, attracting submissions from around the world and attendees who traveled from near and far for an evening of amazing imagery, music and food.
   
• Workshops with R&F Paints and Women's Studio Workshop - Along with our renowned educational offerings, CPW has continuously sought out partners to collaborate with and create offerings that are unique to our combined efforts. 
   
• THEFRUSTRATIONOFEXPRESSION - Celebrating Woodstock's contemporary artistic legacy while looking to spotlight the voices of tomorrow, CPW partnered with iNDIE to produce an exhibition of new works by past participants of this important educational program to dialogue with ground breaking artist Gary Hill, whose early years as an artist were spent in Woodstock.

These exciting projects were made possible because of the inspiring response we received to our year end appeal in 2009. Now as we near the start of 2011 we invite you to collaborate with CPW!

CPW's programs have long been run on lean budgets and with amazing staff and volunteers who contribute countless hours but your support is a vital collaborative element in our efforts to carrying CPW's mission forward in 2011.
