Guinean dancer/choreographer Almamy Seny Daffe of Jeh Kulu Dance & Drum Theater leads this exciting third session of a kids dance class in partnership with Flynn Arts. Children will learn the exuberant and high-energy dance moves of West Africa, to the pulsing rhythms of live traditional drumming. Pat sessions have been a great success. This is a memorable experience for the students and they learn about their bodies, themselves, and have a genuine cultural experience. Seny has a knack with kids and keeps them engaged and entertained while helping them to learn a complex dance form in a safe and positive learning environment. |

ALMAMY SENY DAFFE from Guinea, is a dancer, musician, singer, and educator who specializes in the dance and drumming of West Africa. He danced, directed, or composed for Messages of Boulbinet-African Rhythm Tap Company, Ballet Bassikolo, and Seny Daffe Company, and toured extensively in West Africa, Europe, and the US. He is now a member and director of Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater. He has a gift for working with children as well the students in his class are smiling, engaged, and supported. |
