The Royal West of England Academy is calling for photographers to submit their work online for consideration, alongside invited artists Barry Cawston, Richard Cox, Livia Marin and Sachiyo Nishimura. Such was the popularity of Bristol's Royal West of England Academy's Autumn Exhibition, people were turned away from the packed private view. So there are great expectations of Open Photography 2, the next open exhibition, which is currently calling for entries.

The selection committee are hoping to emulate the success of the Autumn Exhibition with the work of photographers who use contemporary approaches and artists who use photographic processes. As with the Autumn Exhibition, this is an open submission where anyone can enter; work is chosen for their suitability and quality. Alongside the selected work will be the invited artists, Barry Cawston, Richard Cox, Livia Marin and Sachiyo Nishimura.

Achieving notable success at the first RWA Open Photography in 2008 as the Chairman's Choice, Barry Cawston has enjoyed commissions by several international charities and English Heritage. With an award in the Nikon/BJP Endframe competition and winning the Exeter Contemporary Open there has been growing interest and exposure for his fine art photographic prints, which are now held in several notable private collections.
