Dear Friend,
We are performing for the next three Sundays at the California Academy of Sciences. We will be sharing details about our process of using the ideas of science to generate metaphors and abstract movement and objects for live performance. The shows are only forty minutes long and free with the cost of admission to the museum!

Thanks for helping us reach our kickstarter goal for the fabrication and development of Crustacea choreography, a human shell aerial object!!!! Your $3,000 is helping us make it all happen!
We are performing two excerpts from The Pefect Flower in the A.W.A.R.D. Show at ODC Theater January 14th at 8pm. Purchase ticket at the ODC box office.
We will be competing for a $10,000 prize and we need your support to win! In this competition, A.W.A.R.D. stands for artists with audiences responding to dance. To that end, an audience vote on each night of the semi-finals is the mechanism by which choreographers move forward in the competition. On the night we will be performing, we will share the stage with three other esteemed artists, all of us vying for a spot in the finals. Your presence in the theater, supporting our work and participating in the voting process and the audience dialog portions of the evening are absolutely crucial to helping us get to the finals.
I have a block of tickets reserved and password protected at the ODC Theater box office. What I’m asking for you to do, if you are willing to come out, support our work, and get into this incredibly cool project, is to purchase a ticket from the ODC Theater box office using my password (pss...."capacitor"), so that we know we have our share of fans and supporters in the crowd when it comes time to vote and dialog about the works performed that evening.
This production is a choreographic competition sponsored by the Joyce Theater Foundation in New York with the generous support of the Boeing Corporation. We were selected by a national panel consisting of major dance presenters from all over the country.
Happy Holidays!!!
Jodi Lomask, Artistic Director

Under the direction of Jodi Lomask, past works have tackled the creation of the universe (Within Outer Spaces, 2001); the past and the future of mankind (future species, 2000); the modern phenomenon of video gaming (Avatars, 2002-03); and the forest ecosystem (biome, 2007), and flower reproduction (The Perfect Flower 2009). Capacitor has been produced at venues nationally and internationally.
