Wave Hill will be closed Saturday, December 25, and Saturday, January 1, on Christmas and New Year's Day. We are open the day before and the day after each holiday, however, so you know you have a quiet oasis to enjoy before and after the feasting and celebrations: Join us for a naturalist-led walk in the woodlands and gardens Sunday morning, December 26. The Family Art Project Sunday morning, January 2, is an invitation to dream up your own colorful garden vision for the new year.
Once we reopen in January, look forward to two special perks of the season: Tuesdays in January, February and March, admission to the grounds is free all day Tuesdays, thanks to the support of Target. (You can continue to enjoy free admission till noon every Saturday, year-round.) And Wave Hill Members park free onsite weekdays in January, February and March.
With special walks, terrarium workshops, beekeeping, a special Valentine's cooking demonstration, workshops on nature photography and memoir-writing and opportunities to interact with our artists-in-residence in the Winter Workspace in Glyndor Gallery, the winter season is rich with opportunities to connect with nature at Wave Hill.
