There are only a few days left to make a generous donation to UrbanGlass or become a Friend of UrbanGlass and be entered for your chance to win a framed Dale Chihuly lithograph, Persian Set II, 2001, #86/100, valued at $2,000. December 31, 2010 is the last day to make your tax-deductible contribution for 2010 and be entered to win.
For over 30 years, UrbanGlass has been the place where artists could create with glass, where those who are curious could learn how to work with glass, and where emerging artists could develop their work through a fellowship, exhibition, or mentorship. Glass Quarterly provides the context, but our facility is where art is made.
Please take a moment to consider supporting this vital center for glass and all of the artists who use our facilities to make their work. A contribution of :
- $50 supports safety glasses for 300 students each semester
- $100 supports the teacher for one of twenty classes of The Bead Project
- $250 supports exhibitions of emerging artists in the Robert Lehman Gallery for one month
- $500 supports giving an emerging artist a solo exhibition at a SOFA NY and/or Chicago
- $1,000 supports a Visiting Artist creating with glass for one week
Everyone who donates $25 or more will be entered for a chance to win a Chihuly lithograph.* Winner will be selected and announced on January 3, 2011.
