The American Folk Art Museum has declared 2011 the Year of the Quilt. In its honor, they are mounting three very special exhibits of rarely-seen quilts. "Masterworks from the AFAM" features exquisite pieces from the museum's permanent collection. At the Lincoln Square Branch, see "Super Stars," a dazzling array of star-themed quilts. Finally, at the Park Avenue Armory, 650 outstanding quilts will be gathered together for a special, 6-day-only event: "Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red & White Quilts." The New England Quilt Museum is working with Pitcairn Tours to bring you this great opportunity, which includes docent-guided tours of the quilt exhibits and a self-guided tour of the city's Garment District.
