Paper Bag Records artists You Say Party and Young Galaxy are set to embark on a co-headline tour of North America starting on Saturday, February 19th in Vancouver, Canada. The 28-date tour will see the indie titans share the stage for 23 performances and will be Young Galaxy's first tour in support of their stunning new album 'Shapeshifting' which will be released this Spring and You Say Party's first North American jaunt after the band's name and line-up change last year.

After the tragic death of drummer Devon Clifford, You Say Party took inspiration from each other as well as friends, fans, family and particularly the encouragement of Devon’s parents, the band decided to carry on in their dear friend’s memory. They added friends Al Boyle (drums) and Robert Andow (keys/guitar) as former keyboard Krista Loewen decided that her time with the band had come to and end.

Shortly after their brave decision to carry on recording and performing, accolades for their most recent album XXXX began to roll in again. The album won Best Rock Album at the Western Canadian Music Awards and was included on long list for the Polaris Music Prize. They also released a stunning video for XXXX’s ‘Lonely’s Lunch’ which has received heavy play online and on television.

Young Galaxy's new album is unlike anything they have done before. 'Shapeshifting' was recorded in Montreal and then sent away, across the ocean, to one of the world's most acclaimed and secretive producers. For nine months, Dan Lissvik, half of the Swedish duo Studio, curved and refashioned the tracks; he made and remade them. The finished album is a thing of cold reverb, hot drums and synth.

2010 was a busy year for the band as they also saw their last album, 'Invisible Republic,' included on the long-list for the Polaris Music Prize. More recently, one of the album's stand-out tracks, "Destroyer," was nominated for the SOCAN Echo Songwriting Prize alongside songs from The Besnard Lakes, Caribou, Brasstronaut and Crystal Castles. They band has also shared the stage with the likes of Arcade Fire, Stars, Twin Shadow and many more.
