Press release:  Kenosha Art Assoc. 5615-7th Ave. winter Jan./Feb. 2011 art classess Oil painting starts 1/15, Begining Kniting 1/17, watercolor painting 1/20 fussed glass 2/1 see below for details.   Painting with Pat Oil Painting With Patrick Sullivan This is a beginning oil painting class that will teach you steps from stretching a canvas, to mixing colors creating textures and different styles of the oil painting process.   Jan. 15th  – Feb.19th 6 weeks on Sat. afternoons Class time: 12:30 to 2:30pm Fee: $50.00 members $60.00 non-members Materials to be provided by student   Learn to Knit With Pat Meinhardt This is a basic class to teach you how to knit. Learn how to knit and purl, what the differences between yarn weights are, and the different sizes of needles.  We will be creating a scarf and your choice of mittens or a hat if time allows.  Practice materials, for the first class only, will be supplied. Project material list, consisting of yarn(s) and needles, will be given out at first class and materials will be purchased by student. Jan. 17th – Feb. 21st 6 weeks beginning Monday evenings Class time: 6-8pm Fee: $50.00 for KAA members       $60.00 for non members   Watercolor Painting With Barbara Farrell This class will teach you watercolor techniques that can bring new energy and excitement.   Jan. 20th  – Feb.24th 6 weeks beginning Thursday mornings Class time 9:00am -12:00 Fee: $72.00 for members $85.00 for non members Students please provide your own materials.    Glass Fusing 1 Day Workshop Jill Montgomery In this workshop students will create a great Valentines Day gift.  Complete a pin, pendant or earrings.  This is a hands on class.  You will learn the basics of fused glass.  Patterns and ideas will be discussed.  This is a great beginning class. No Experience necessary.   Tues. Feb. 1st Class time: 7-9pm Pick up and finish piece: Sat.
