Piercing butoh: weekly class-workshop & Open Studio-Share
Residency Call
Dear Friends,
Finally after much due time, we will offer ongoing
weekly training culminating in public performances at CAVE. The dead line
to register for the full semester (Feb-May) is February 6, 2011. We kept this training really really
affordable specially for those who want to dive into both sessions.
Open call for 7-month studio-share residency
(period starts on February first, 2011). The dead line to apply is January 26, 2011.

What's going on with the Butoh-Kan workshops? ...
Still working on the details but dates seems to be: June 2-16 (first guest
teacher), June 23-July 7 (second guest teacher), September 8-22 (third
guest teacher) and September 29-October 13 (four guest teacher).

CAVE offers for a seven month
subsidized studio-share residency to two individual/groups.
Dead Line to apply: January
26, 2011
Residency begins February 1, 2011. For a flat
monthly fee of $270 USD, CAVE Subsidized Studio Share Resident artists
receive: up to twelve hours per week of rehearsal/private class space;
bi-monthly inclusion of their activities on CAVE’s e-mail newsletter;
access to Material for the Arts supplies; and the use of one small
camcorder and one video projector.

PIERCING BUTOH: Not your regular butoh workshop or
training class!
Parallel to the Butoh-Kan Training residency, CAVE
has developed a new series of ongoing body training and composition classes
culminating in public performances at CAVE. During the months of February,
March, April and May, every Sunday and Monday weekly classes will be
lead by Daiji Meguro (from Ko Murobushi’s Ko
& Edge butoh company) and Ximena Garnica
(LEIMAY). These two artists have developed their own techniques and
philosophy in regards to the body in performance. This program is
developed with the local community in mind and for those who wish to delve
into both physical training and performance practice.
