2011 Horticultural Lecture Series: John A. Gwynne and Mikel Folcarelli The Rakes' Progress: The Evolution of a Garden Addy Kurz Wednesday, January 19, 6PM Wave Hill’s first Horticultural Lecture of the year features John A. Gwynne, landscape architect who was the chief exhibit designer for the Bronx Zoo for many years, and his partner, Mikel Folcarelli, who is a sculptor and now global head of visual identify for Façonnable. They will trace the stages in developing their own garden in coastal Rhode Island, described by Director of Horticulture Scott Canning as “a series of walk-through experiences that have to be seen to be believed. It makes most others seem like timid affairs.
