LONDON-FLORENCE EXCHANGE EXHIBITION

Printmaking Group Show

Your last chance to visit the exchange project between Candid Arts Trust and The Bisonte International School of Graphic Arts which includes twenty young artists: ten British-based and ten Italian-based recent graduates or graduating students, working in the field of printmaking, including etching, lithography, screenprinting & woodcut. The exhibition will then continue at Il Bisonte Gallery in Florence (3th-18th February).

THE POWER AND THE GLORY

In this exhibition Karin works with the multiples of a photo of a mere detail from which she creates an abstract image. This constructed image explores through its formal layout and content the complexity of the ‘whole’ that cannot be photographed. Images of machines appear to work; colours remind of age-old frescoes; pipes take on gothic forms linking the building to the great cathedrals of the western world; a puddle on a concrete gangway becomes an artwork on the floor, site-specific and testifying to the passing of time; pipes shape into the flowing river without which a power station cannot function.

We are pleased to announce new dates for our popular life drawing and painting Saturday classes.

Life Drawing Saturdays

26th February & 16th April

11am - 5pm

£45 | All materials included

Life Painting Saturdays

12th March & 21st May

10am - 6pm

£50 | All materials included

*Advance booking for all Saturday classes is essential. To book your place please follow this link.

Life Drawing Drop In Daytime Classes continue throughout the year- including summer months.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday

11am-1pm

Life Drawing Drop In Evening Classes continue through out the year- including summer months.

Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday except bank holidays

7 - 9pm

All drop in classes £7

Materials available to buy

No need to book

*Classes do get very busy- arrive in good time and bring a sketchbook so you can sit and draw if necessary.
