Call for Artists/Tours Available
|
The Arts Incubator of Kansas City's internationally recognized resident artists program is currently accepting applications for its 24-month program in the Crossroads. It also is hosting two Question & Answer Tours for interested artists.
Annually, a group of 12 to 15 artists are accepted into this challenging two-year studio and career development program. The deadline for applications is Feb. 7.
Accepted artists, who are chosen based on a number of selective criteria, have 24-hour access to multiple studio facilities, including a wood and metal shop, printmaking facilities and a technology studio. The program assists resident artists in identifying long-term goals; establishing and maintaining a rigorous studio schedule; and developing professional skills to launch a successful career.
Prior to the application deadline, the Arts Incubator is hosting two Question & Answer Tours at the facilities, 115 W. 18th St., Kansas City. Interested artists can attend either session. One tour takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29; another will be offered at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3. No reservations are required for the free sessions.
