Paul Roorda: Take Notice
“In the months prior to the exhibition, the vintage encyclopedia images from Take Notice were posted on wooden utility poles throughout Kitchener and Ottawa. After several weeks of exposure, the art was retrieved. The empty spaces on the gallery walls suggest the notices that disappeared from the posts or were lost due to weather damage. “

Samsara in Sanskrit refers to the cycle of birth, death and rebirth. With wood sculpture, a passion grips the artist in a final dance with the tree as it is reborn. Often, memories of its former life are evident and add excitement to the new form.

Garry Bowes : Samsara
En sanscrit, samsara désigne le cycle de la naissance, de la mort et de la renaissance. Dans ces sculptures de bois, l’artiste est entraîné par la passion dans une dernière danse avec l’arbre en pleine renaissance. Souvent, des souvenirs de son ancienne vie ressortent clairement, ajoutant un intérêt additionnel à sa nouvelle forme.
