As previously announced, at the beginning of February the CACTyou! Fanzine #1 made by Aglaia Haritz will be finally released. For this number the Swiss artist got inspiration from the true story
of Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova, 17 y.o., suicide bomber in 2009 in the Moscow underground. Because
of her assault 40 people died and 90 had been injured. Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova was widow of a young Islamic terrorist. Aglaia Haritz recalls chronologically the story of this “black widow” until the underground attack. She does it, following her artistic style, by sewing fabrics and newspaper’s articles. Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova era vedova di un estremista islamico. Aglaia Haritz ripercorre passo per passo e in maniera cronologica l’avventura di questa giovane donna, soprannominata – come tante altre sue simili – “vedova nera”.
