GOGGLEWORKS ARTISTS FEATURED IN NEW BANANA FACTORY® EXHIBIT
BETHLEHEM, PA— A wide range of two- and three-dimensional artwork by the artists of the GoggleWorks Community Arts Center in Reading will be showcased in the new Crayola Gallery exhibit at ArtsQuest’s Banana Factory®, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, from Jan. 29-March 27.
The "GoggleWorks Exchange Exhibition" will feature works by more than 20 artists from GoggleWorks. Mediums in the show include painting, ceramics, book binding, basketry and more. From January 29-March 2, the GoggleWorks will also be showcasing the art of the Banana Factory’s 27 resident artists in its Cohen Gallery.
"GoggleWorks, which is patterned after the Banana Factory, has done much to transform the Reading area, making the arts accessible to residents of the city and surrounding county while helping to revitalize the city’s downtown," says ArtsQuest Director of Visual Arts and Education Janice Lipzin. "We are excited about this partnership with the GoggleWorks and we are looking forward to sharing our Banana Factory artists’ works with the residents of Berks County as well."
The public is invited to enjoy an opening reception for the GoggleWorks Exchange Exhibition on Friday, Feb. 4, 6-9 p.m. The event, which will coincide with the Banana Factory’s First Friday open house, will include light refreshments, music and more.
