Art at Lunch: The Elementals: The Work of Jack Lewis 

Wednesday, February 9: Noon to 1:30 p.m.

Painter and gallery owner, Rebecca Raubacher, has been representing the work of Jack Lewis for many years.  During this lecture she will discuss the significance of Mr. Lewis as a Delaware artist. Ticket price includes lunch. This program is partially funded by a grant from the Delaware Humanities Forum, a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Click here to pre-register.

Biggs PictureThe Artists Have Been Chosen!

The 2011 Biggs Picture competition drew nearly 300 entries from over 100 applicants. The 2011 jurors Robert Koenke, Editor-in-Chief of Wildlife Art Magazine and Catherine Drabkin, Delaware College of Art and Design Founding Faculty Member, selected 73 works to be displayed in the exhibition at the Museum. These artists successfully interpreted the theme of "Landscape" with the finest examples of their media. Click here for the full list of artists to be featured in the exhibition. The $1,500 Museum Purchase Prize and jurors' Top Ten selections will be announced at the free, First Look pARTy on Friday, March 4. Congrats!

Art a la carteSwing for Art! The Biggs Museum Golf Tournament 

Art a la Carte is back by popular demand...with a twist! The workshops will instruct participants on the subject of landscape, the theme of the upcoming Biggs Picture exhibition, opening on Friday, March 4. Four workshops will be hosted in March and April, led by local artists Karin Snoots, Xan Salas, W. Hank Smallwood and John Murray.
