70 Years of Collecting - Opening + Reception

Join us in celebrating the public opening of
Weatherspoon Art Museum: 70 Years of Collecting. This special 70th anniversary exhibition features 100 highlights from the Museum's nationally recognized permanent collection. The afternoon begins at 1pm with remarks from Director Nancy Doll, followed by a curator's tour for Weatherspoon members, and a public reception hosted by the Weatherspoon Art Museum Association.
Free and open to the public.The event concludes with a ribbon presentation to the winner of the 70th Anniversary cake competition. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite art-inspired cake design created by local pastry chefs* then sample their choice during a public tasting at 3pm.
